The Pine Room

The Snuggle is Real

Well, I saw a really nice wooden sign, but it was out of my budget so I decided to make my own sign. Loved the energy of the snuggle is real and the lighter wood frame to place above the bed. The process was super easy for me. I used my Silhouette Cameo to make a stencil and learned how to use our... hang on have to check the name of the correct one, miter saw. I always want to say the table saw. Ha! But anyways I have a natural draw to woodworking and love to learn new skills.

Before I made my stencil I painted the board white (2x).

Then, I placed my stencil on the painted board. Painted a layer of white in the stencil letters to stop any paint that would bleed under the stencil. Once that layer of white paint dried, I painted the lettering black (2x).

Bathroom His & Hers Adult Humor

Hi. Hello. Welcome Sign

This one started as a joke. I didn't want a normal Welcome sign and my boyfriend always says HI. HELLO, real loud when we have visitors or are going over to his parent's house so this was only fitting!

For this one, we did a reverse stencil. It was my first sign so I changed the process over time. I am not a fan of aligning all these letters one by one and then peeling them off.

  • We painted the board white.

  • Then we place the vinyl letters in their place.

  • Next, painted the entire board black so the letters would appear white.

  • Removed the vinyl letters.

  • Protected with a polypropylene finishing spray.
